A great photo of Dick Van Dyke and Shirley MacLaine. love both of these great actors, but she is the Jeep dame of the day:

From the WWW.
Jeep dames going at it in the factory. Note the wagons on the line in the background:
One of my favorites...Barbara Eden...from a first season episode of I Dream of Jeanie:
I think this may have been posted, but very cool with the matching Jeeps on the hood of the little fellers Jeep:

Hi Zeph! I haven't seen one like that before. Any ideas on when/where etc? Seems odd to have the drivers wearing helmets with well-dressed civilians as passengers. Maybe a war bond drive somewhere? Lots of jeeps there away from "service".

Parade staging area, helmet liners, Summer dress, so likely a 4 July or possibly end of War, veterans day? celebration, 95X unit numbers.
Neat, someone has the facts.

That's a great one. That Jeeps carrying a lot of weight on the hood. I don't think my '43's hood would take that. At least it looks like the dames are wearing flats.

In the assembly line picture above, looks like an M38 is being assembled on the line with a civilian CJ2a or 3a right behind it.

Re: Jeep dame of the Day
Just curious, m38 or m38a1 (power brake mount hole on firewall)?
And whats the side cowl inset that looks like a turn signal flag like European vehicles had (same as next jeep back, but no large hole in firewall.)

Re: Jeep dame of the Day
Definitely M38, classic lines of WW2 jeep and has a tailgate. M38a1 has no tailgate. Also I think the battery box on cowl can hold only one battery, doesn't the M38 a1 battery box hold 2 batteries?
