A vet and his jeep

Post by JIMN » Thu Apr 26, 2018 11:06 am

Just stumbled across this in my phone from last year. My Dad, Korean War Marine Veteran washing his GPW. If summer ever gets here he will be out doing it again...
Notice the USMC.... :D

Jim, a nice jeep and a real hero. Be proud, and make the most of your Dad. I wish mine was still here.

Thanks. I appreciate the comments. It was just a photo op I couldn't pass up. Nice to always have a camera in your pocket these days.

The very first jeep I ever restored was to a Korean war Marine. My jeep had no history that could be found, the Marine had a photo of him going back to the front, and he was setting in a jeep you could clearly see the markings, so I restore my jeep back as the one he was setting in.
Thank you your dad for me, I have Marine volunteers come over my house every Saturday and help me keep my collection up and running. Let him know, they are still the best, just like his generation, made from the same mold.
