Project complete!

Post by Zwoodman » Mon Mar 12, 2012 4:05 pm

This is my first completed project! This 44 MB took about 250 hours to complete. An off the frame project was easier than I originally thought... thanks to the help from the G! The only thing that I did not fully restore was the engine... it came with a civilian cj motor that started after a little tinkering with the timing chain and distributer. The lady I baught it from said it was about 20 years since it last ran. She put it in a barn then and did not mess with it. The oil looked clean and smelled pretty good for the age since it was changed. I do have a 42 MB engine I'm going to rebuild to replave the CJ motor when it goes out. I will be driving it to work now and then... maybe twice a week if not more.

I also gained a new jeep Buddy!!!! He always want to go for a test drive and see how she's running!

Now working on a 43 MBT to go with the jeep! Lets see how this project goes!

What's the serial # / DOD on your newly completed Jeep? I've got a decently running engine that I think is a Feb '44 casting in my Jeep that's on the verge of being replaced with a July '44 engine that could have been original to my Jeep.
