No Unfortunately here in upstate New York the weather is still not good enough to bring her out of storage. Granted we have had very little snow but there is still the salt and sand on the roads that could reek havoc on her 69 year old sheet metal. It won’t be long until she is back out in the sun.

Depending how far upstate, it could be June before you get on the road!

Only 55 miles East of Syracuse, most of the snow is gone. I will wait for a few good rain storms to get the sand and salt off the roads.

Re: Happy Birthday to my 43 GPW
Since i was a kid i have always driven the hell out of my dads ww2 jeeps, usually we would run M38 arctic enclosures for winter and if we were lucky even a heater, LOL, but nowadays with me getting older and modern cars being so much more comfortable. Now i too only drive em when there's no snow on the ground. About 15 yrs. ago i payed $1000 for a early winter enclosure and boy have i got my moneys worth out of it so far, especially for my weak (non jeep enthusiast) passengers during spring and fall. What i prefer about the "early ww2" winter enclosure is you could store your side curtains under the rear seat and there's no hardware attached to the body like with the "late ww2" winter enclosure. Give Dan a call at Beachwood canvas you wont be sorry
