In this picture the mail bags are being received in Newport News Virginia at Christmas. Bags are similar to ones in picture of overloaded Jeep and trailer above. Guys sitting on top are wearing flight jackets so might be overseas care packages and mail. Looks like a couple of square packages in bags too… just speculation though…

What was that line from the movie Battle of the Bulge when the German Col. Hessler (Robert Shaw) pointed out fresh cake that the Americans had in their captured lines, that America will win, as they can waste fuel delivering cake across the ocean while we cannot deliver fuel.

Or could those bags be Fulla' Herman Goering's Art Collection?

And this one, caption reads, "Jeep Idling Behind The Barn."

Minor point (and it's on the Artist, not Hank) hanging at our office for years was a photo of a Soldier showing a young Iraqi boy hiding from a fire fight behind one of our troops. The Caption read 'Your Safe here' or some such motivational statement.
My only point is, a US GI hiding behind a Buxom Blonde hostage does not equate, I could see the GI doing many things, (Some of would be exploitive and wrong like the movie Fury) but not hiding behind her as a human shield. Besides, his hand would be lower
Minor irritation, not dinging the poster, Hank... drive on.

Maybe already posted - I can't remember....

His colleague, Sergeant Lewis, eats compo rations directly from the tin. They had returned to this location, their base, after several failed attempts to reach Arnhem Bridge on Monday, 18th September.
