Connie Rodd: Buxom Star Of The US Military Guide To Keeping ‘Weapons’ In Shape'

Connie Rodd was already famous during world war II in the monthly magazine Army Motors with The Connie Rodd’s Bulletin Board.

Sargent Connie Rodd was created by Will Eisner and started as the secondary character of PS: The Preventive Maintenance Monthly.
Connie was seemingly a femme fatale straight out of one of her creator Will Eisner’s Spirit comics.
She not only kept the Army’s wheels rolling, she did all the paperwork as well, she did seem to do a lot of lecturing however.
This was due to her primary role of being the literal pin up girl for preventative maintenance.
She would dispense good advice to other characters (especially Private Joe Dope) and the readers on how to do things correctly.

Private Joe Dope was an example of everything a soldier in the Army’s motor pool should not be, Connie was a shining example of what you should do, and she did it all while almost never making it into a regulation army uniform.
