These photos are really very far from the jeep or MV in general history.
The JDD thread is slowing getting out of hands.
It will soon look like the Dunlop or Pirelli old pinup’s calendars.
Not for me...

In today's PC World, saying "Dame of the Day" after anything, including Jeeps, could get you in trouble with the wrong company. As much as I enjoyed it, probably ought to delete the whole doggone thread right away ---- before it explodes into toxic goo. Certainly don't want to offend anybody. :D

To hell with the PC world! Long running thread...don't delete. What's next....removing the song 'Nothing Like A Dame' from acclaimed musical South Pacific?

Everyone is offended by something or someone these days......

I guess my point had nothing to do with the Jeep brand :D .

First: we should have the opinion of the OP about his intent when opening this thread with the first beautiful period picture?
viewtopic.php?p=1723321#p1723321

Second; I'm surprised that no lady owner has never published her opinion.
We have at least :
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=138929
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=28667
and there are others for sure as mentioned in that thread : viewtopic.php?f=144&t=302860&hilit=lady+owners

Third ; Yes times are changing, especially after #metoo. Its sometimes excessive but it's most of the time normal.

A little story:
I was once the boss of a US subsidiary in Belgium active in the EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) for various customers.(HQ in Idaho)
I've immediately required (not requested) to remove ALL pinup photos/calendars from everywhere in the house.
But I have explained the reasons to all team members :
- Because we have customer visits in the workshop 2 or 3 times per week. Customers must always feel good in our company!
- Because 75% of our team members were women. All team members must always feel good in our company.
All team member did agree with no single issue.
Times were changing because before the acquisition almost no customer were ever visiting the shop.

This first class forum is a public forum, i.e you have access to the posts w/o being registered, and all members should feel good when crawling through the threads  .

Once upon a time there was a thread named "What's on your shop wall?" viewtopic.php?f=144&t=317876&hilit=garage+wall

Believe me or not the only poster on the wall with a female on it, was that historic photo in the very clean MV garage of Zeph !
This is not a pinup photo, it's an historical photo with a very high emotion and symbolic load. :)!

Why would you post such a Hurtful Grab & Grope picture? From 75 yrs ago? When such HENIOUS actions - like Jim Crow Laws - were deemed "acceptable?"

Kids will see this and think it's Just Fine & Dandy to grab someone - a complete stranger - same, opposite or undetermined gender - and squeeze them where they might not want to be squeezed!

Please tell us you don't buy Aunt Jemima Syrup... And if you were in the US - you'd NEVER drive your Jeep down streets named after slave owners or through National Parks with Confederate Monuments. And let's all pray there aren't any Dukes of Hazard reruns on Belgian TV (How can anyone name a car "General Lee?" - even if Daisy was cast as a clever diversionary tactic). ...

Forgot to look how the Washington Redskins did yesterday. Chop Chop.

Certainly you're entitled to your beliefs and opinions - no disrespect intended (hopefully none of your customers will see your pic). I'm just beyond shock what's become of this once-beautiful thread - although I would prefer Moderators take corrective actions so pics reflect and promote greater diversity. Then we could Celebrate Diversity as a Collective Team.

Well different things for different folks. On another website that I'm on they have two threads going. One with "those" pics and one thread with "family" pics. You can choose which one you want to view. The "those" thread has warnings in the tittle and in the first couple of posts.
Myself I'm a fan of both threads. Keep them apart. Most folks can handle posting in the correct thread themselves, if not mods can correct if needed.
Personally I like this thread and hope that the mods will move a few of the later posts to a newer "those" thread and keep this one going.
Just my thoughts.
And again different strokes for different folks.

Stay Safe

Later 42rocker
