Interesting to note that the new jeep in the clothing drive has no markings on it. Fresh from the factory probably. Also note that the hood numbers are not visible. I don't believe they are air-brushed out.
There was a discussion recently about the intensity of the blue drab used for hood numbers. Some thought a brighter paint was used. Others disagree. I believe a dull blue drab was intended so that numbers photographed from a distance could not be read. I have seen period photos of jeeps with blue numbers that are almost invisible, and others that are easily read. Not white numbers either.
That jeep is perhaps a charity gift from Willys Overland.
So it was not included in a military contract and therefore not marked.
Just a guess.

Nobody can fool you :) !
I guess it's another faulty caption about Ford Honolulu.(Pinterest)
It could be a Ford GPW in a Ford factory, or a GPW with two ladies in Ford Island, Hawaii.

I don't know if someone could recognize the building behind the jeep on the original un-cropped photo.

Could be a picture taken in the Air Base in Ford Island.

She really looks like a Patriot. Great photo. Maybe taken on the Fourth of July with the Revolutionary war hat and musket?

That women is not in a jeep but I couldn't resist to include her nice smile as a souvenir of all women working in ammo factories.
(I've been working with them :) !)
