Not Humvee related, but I'm pretty pumped up!

Post by RockHillWill » Wed Sep 05, 2018 5:46 pm

By background is in what was called the Winston Cup NASCAR series stock cars from 1970 to 1993. In 1978 I hired Dale Earnhardt to get his start in NASCAR in a Ford Torino. It was a pretty big deal down around Charlotte here and a few pictures were in the Sunday morning paper. Fast forward to current racing schedule and the lone race each year held at the Darlington, SC track has been made into a 'throwback' event where they asked the car owners to paint their car in a throwback paint scheme. This year my paint scheme was chosen by the owner of the car that Dale Earnhardt's grandson, Jeffrey Earnhardt was going to drive. The race track invited me down to try to recreate some of those original pictures. I apologize if this post offends anyone, but this was a current reminder of something that I did 40 years ago, and I am feeling pretty darn good about it!

Racing is not the same without the Intimidator. Excellent job brother.

It is good to look back at your life from time to time and to think you lived in that moment. And the best part of this is that your still alive to recall such a great moment in your life, and thanks for sharing this post!
