WTB: 4.00 x 18 Military Tires

Post by 17thAirborne » Mon Oct 03, 2022 4:12 pm

I have been restoring a WW2 Airborne Compressor Trailer. The tires thereon are 4.00 x 18 and look very similar to hand cart tires, but are larger in diameter. If anyone has a lead on an NOS set, I would appreciate being able to purchase them.

Thanks for looking

The K-38 has 4x18 tires. Might have better luck on the 1/4 ton forum

These are not NOS, but perhaps some that would work for you??

THanks. I have those saved while I continue to search. They do look fairly close only 4 ribs instead of 5. I have also found the offset tr-13 tubes. I'll just have to settle on some look-a-likes.

Nice, the percentage of people who would know the rib difference are so small not to worry about.
