They are definitely not for lifting a 1500# PE-95.

Re: PE-95 TRIVIA
Are these getting hard to find yet? When I get my projects caught up, my wife wants one of these for when the ice storms take out the power.

Re: PE-95 TRIVIA
Hard to find? They were obsolete by the 50's.
Find a good one, excersize it every few weeks, keep the fuel fresh and the batteries on a smart charger. Been there done that with the PE-95 and a 1960 surplus Reiner 10 KW, the key is learning the starting habits and gathering spares for just in case situations.

On your chains what is on the final link that completes the loop, or a closeup would be great?

Re: PE-95 TRIVIA
This is a great thread! I have a P.E. 197 that has never been restored, has only 132 hours on the meter and when it's running, sings like the sweetest choir in the world. I don't have any spare parts and will probably only find a few, but I do exercise it every few weeks for about 30 minutes. I know that it is obsolete and not comparable to the gennie's of today, but who else has a W.W. 2 generator that is operating correctly today. Not many guys, just the nut jobs in this thread ...............

Re: PE-95 TRIVIA
This is the best I can do for now as I'm in Chicago and the generator is in NM. I'll be down there in a couple of weeks and get a better photo.

Re: PE-95 TRIVIA
My PE95G and K both have them, although the K model used sash chain and not the oval link chain in the pics.
Great, 2 of us here.

There is a Track, Sliding Plate, O'Keefe & Merit Part #7369B----------2 Ea.

This is all listed under HOUSING PARTS in TM11-904H for the PE-95-G and H
