Yes Ben, my gennie is powered by the Continental Hercules 11 h.p. 4 cyl. f. h. engine. How do I get in contact with Jerry Biro please?

As Ben points out all the pieces are shown in the TM 11-904H (Sept 3,1943). (not found in the July 45 manual)

So it appears that the top plate should be permanently tethered to the "Track for Sliding Top Plate" via the two chains attached to the top plate with two inner of the four bolts that attach the stiffening bar to the underside of the top plate.

Now the question is what is functionally of this arrangement in the operation of the Power Unit?

Maybe help assure that the top plate is in place for better cooling or weather protection?

Any thoughts?

Hope these help

PE-95 did not have a distributor with vacuum advance. Where is the vacuum line attached. Can you post pics of the engine?
Here's a link to the ones I got. The hose is broken off at distributor and it ran up to port side vacuum at intake manifold. I'll get a better pic when I take it out of the shelf with the forklift.
