Here is a close up of the SN with some shades of light gray paint to "weather" the data boss to match the rest of the plate.

Re: US WW2 Corps of Engineer Airborne Trailer Mounted Compressor
I have made quite a bit of progress on the engine. I have done all the tasks to get the cylinders, cam shaft lifters and valve etc installed. WIll continue to work on getting pistons and timing gears in.

Re: US WW2 Corps of Engineer Airborne Trailer Mounted Compressor
I wonder if there are any in Europe to find. I have only seen one other for sale in Nevada. I am not sure who is the new owner. It would be nice to have another to compare notes with.m Good luck on the search.

Re: US WW2 Corps of Engineer Airborne Trailer Mounted Compressor
While I was installing the cylinder shrouds I realized my engine was installed backwards, so I turned it around. I also installed the cylinder cooling shrouds leaving everything loose so I could mesh the many parts of the puzzle together.

Re: US WW2 Corps of Engineer Airborne Trailer Mounted Compressor
Your encouragement is a great help. I am stalling at the compressor as I have to undertake degreasing operations, cleaning and blasting. My least favorite part. Hopefully will be ready for more progress soon.

Oz,
Keep at it. I want to see it run and used as a fire hose (just kidding). This thing should be fun and interesting to watch when taking it to meets. Will get on the GPW resto thread for the Frankenweenie as soon as possible. Your brother Mike.
