Delaware DMV

Discussion of Local, State, and Federal issues regarding MV Legislation, MV use restrictions, MV registration refusals, etc. As these issues may ultimately affect other jurisdictions, information and education of all MV owners is crucial for the future ownership and use of our MVs.
This is not a board for Political discussion.
This is not a Q&A Forum on how to title or register a MV.

Delaware DMV

It has been brought to my attention, The state of Delaware is considering not allowing the registration of military vehicles. A well known military vehicle parts and vehicle business in Dover Delaware is leading the fight to turn this issue around. If put into law it will put a serious restriction to the hobby.

It’s also an ongoing issue here in Colorado.

What’s worse, is that currently legally registered tagged and titled vehicles here will be audited at the time your vehicle comes up for re-registration

How ya like that?

One day your fine, re-registration comes in the mail BUT instead of the normal paperwork to pay your registration fee, you get a notice stating that your not only NOT getting re-registered, your also getting your current TITLE revoked and replaced with an OFF ROAD TITLE ONLY!!

Around here, all the MV owners drive around with all manner of ordnance in there vehicles; most of it fully functional, some replica. No one cares; police just wave. Now, put those same vehicles in a liberal state or city, and you will immediately get the opposite reaction; they don't see Veterans that should be respected; they see domestic terrorists that need to be stopped and that includes that scary green war machine that we don't want on our roads and streets. (Also they run on gas)
They have already succeeded with banning HUMMVs in many places; you are next.
