For Sale 1952 M38a1

Post by Ernie Baals » Wed Apr 06, 2022 9:27 am

FOR SALE
1952 M38A1
This is another vehicle from the collection of the late
Bob Campbell,
Bob was one of the original founding members old the old MVCC, which is now the MVPA, Bob was member number 3.
The jeep was restored around 20 years ago and use quite a bit
The fuel system was flushed, new batteries put in and it fired right up and sounds good.
Runs and stops as it should
The jeep is rust free and comes with the full canvas, fording kit and hot water heater kit.
Clean NJ title
The jeep should have a good maintenance before it is used much. ie fluid changes, grease etc, nothing major.
While we had it running we saw no leaks
Asking price is $17.500
But they are negotiable, as they have been with the other vehicles
Jeep is located in Hainsport NJ, on rt38.
Contact for info is Robert Campbell Jr at 609 284 0486
Thank you Ernie

Like all of Bob's stuff, that's a real Time Capsule. Takes me back to the days when one could find unmolested, rust free vehicles and fit them out with NOS parts and canvas, like this one. Most of today's restorers would be horrified by the sloppy fit of that canvas, although it is the real deal.

Hi Ernie,

Is the 1952 M38A1 you listed still for sale? If so, I am definitely interested in purchasing it. I live in York, PA and have been looking to buy a running and rust-free M38A1 for the last four years. Plus, the one you are selling looks to be pretty correct as far as paint and markings go.

Thanks,
AJ

hi AJ
That would be great!
I would love to see this jeep out and about again
The markings were from Bob. He was a Korean war vet, and he marked a few of his vehicles from his unit
Give bob Jr a call
He is a good guy to work with

Hi again Ernie,

That is great to know about Bob Sr! I also, served in Korea - did three tours there in my Army career. Of course not during the Korean War but I have a very healthy appreciation for what our fellow Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines did over there and have visited many of the fighting locations. I also had two Uncles that served over in Korea during the war so it would be a real honor to be able to buy this Jeep!

Thank you so much and God Bless You!
AJ
