I'm not in the market for one because I just bought one for my 1953 M38A1. I believe what you have here is an M151 or later M38A1 pintle. The M422 Mighty Mite pintle does not have the safety pin either. I just paid $60.00 for an early M series pintle with no pin delivered to my door.
