Obviously from a genset, never saw it run, I guess PO pulled it out and put it in a MB and gave up. Turns 2 full turns with no issues. as is where is, RMC10xxxx $700 can prep, crate and drop off at fastenal for $300. Or pick up here.

Hi Adam, does your RMC # block have 4 freeze plugs on the distributor side or just 2 freeze plugs? Thanks, John

An M38 engine in the 100K range is a very late one. RMC engines were numbered in sequence and this one is long after vehicle production. Waterproof bell housing. Two freeze plugs.

Yep,, makes it perfect for a replacement engine, for ours or for a Canadian contract M38. Or for a CJ, or use the crank and rods and internals for another build and scrap the block.

Good price for an RMC engine. I used a generator RMC engine in my Jeep. It’s still standard bore. Maybe this one will be in good shape too. Hopefully it goes to an M38 restoration.
