Yes I know they don't fit this For sale Forum, but you might have a vehicle they do.

NOS (Dec 2012) 4-wire taillights. Brake/TS and taillight are incandescent and BO marker and BO brake are LED's. $75.00 a pair. Kevin

Not necessarily.

I debated (with myself) how best to handle the taillight issue in an attempt to keep people from running into me from behind. There are numerous different approaches but I decided to utilize a pair of the composite lights and add the necessary additional wires to my wiring harness. That and the turn signal apparatus gave me a set of fully functional taillights; i.e. driving lights, turn signals, emergency flashers and even blackout lights. Did the same for my trailer and now I'm so safe I can't stand me! As an aside, I put yellow lenses on the front markers and ran a new circuit for what now are turn signals.

It did require a bit of grinding to reshape the tub mounting openings but then the composites just bolted right in.

Kevin and Gene,

For your information, there is an adapter bracket which was used on the M151 and M151A1-series as a method of updating the rear lights to Composite type units. It was part of the Army's safety updates following the introduction of the M151A2 which used the composites.

Here's what the bracket looks like:-

Ken,
Aw, man ... where were you 4 months ago?!?!
I picked up a couple of the black, plastic shells to use as a template. Worked but I suspect it would have been a lot easier with these brackets.

Gene
