No spark at plug.

Post by Kaiser Krazy » Mon Oct 31, 2022 12:01 pm

New M170 to me, no history known about it, but Bubba has been working on the ignition wiring. Began with no spark, so trouble shooted and replaced coil, condensor, points, cap and rotor. Got spark at points. Installed cap and no spark at plugs. Removed wire at plug and reinstalled plug and laid on bare metal block and no spark.
Spring on metal cap feels like it is going into the coil, so other than rotor, wires and all plugs being bad, is there something for me to check? Does spark at points indicate all is working up to that point?

What page of the manual do I turn to?
