My recently acquired 1952 M38A1 has the original type of Cater YS carb. I am trying to get it in good running condition, while it does start and run okay, when I have the idle adjustment screw adjusted all the way in (not the 1 1/2) turns) it still idles awkwardly. I am thing the accelerator pumps may be hardened. Does anyone have tips/trick to rejuvenate these pumps/diaphragms? Do I just need a new carb kit? just trying to avoid the parts cannon if it can be avoided.
Thanks
Any hints/idea/tricks to revive old accelerator pumps/diaphragms??

There is nothing you can do but get new diaphragms that I believe only come in kits. Thanks

Try contacting Daytona Parts. They have kits and may sell individual parts.
