Need Help With Vacuum Lines

Post by delta31 » Tue Jun 07, 2022 3:34 am

Civilian F Head Engine and Carb
Civilian Mechanical Fuel pump with vacuum pump

I am hooking back up the PCV valve. After the PCV I have used an original tee with one side going the a vacuum line on the fuel pump
and the other side going to a port in the manifold/head below the carb. I think this is a pretty stock set up.

Now I would like to hook up the vacuum wipers. I don't believe they will run from just the fuel pump alone but also need the engine
vacuum. Is that correct?

I don't see another vacuum port in the manifold/head. Would there be a problem with installing another tee at the port in the manifold below the carb
and hooking the wipers onto that line? That would put the wipers on the same line as the PCV.

Thanks for any advice.

Get a dual chamber fuel pump and the lower side runs the wipers. Ron sells them.
Or get electric wipers.
