Hi Nekaf4ever I have just picked up my first M38A1 which is a NEKAF jeep with the following serial numbers

MD11309

paperwork for the jeep also has the number as 11309R and a serial number 57111.

Do you know what these numbers are and where I could find them on the jeep please?

Many thanks in advance
Rich

Hi Rich,

Your 1956 NEKAF M38A1 with serial number MD11309 used to have registration number KP-63-90 during its service with the Royal Netherlands Army.

The number 57111 must be 57144 and is the prefix for the 24V export version.
Your proper serial number is MD11309 (also stamped into the frame on the left side)
The R behind 11309 stands for the Rotterdam assembly plant.

If you have any more questions about NEKAF's please feel free to contact me.

The EPM are the inspector stamp initials as found on most M38 and M38A1's. So that will not really mean anything. John
