Hello,
I am working on my fuel system fuel lines. I removed my brass fuel line shut off valve to clean.
It did have OD paint on it, but it may have been painted during a repaint.
Does anyone know if it is supposed to be painted, or left unpainted ?
Here are some pics of it cleaned up, ready to reinstall.
You can see the manufacturer, and brand of shut of valve.
Anderson Brass
Kant Leak
Detroit
Thanks for any input

I have had them painted and unpainted; possibly as you say, painted post production.
I leave them natural brass color. Looks cool that way.
