Re: Jeeps
I've seen several like that.. just think how easy it is to work on them that way.. no overhead wrenching...gotta love it..

Re: Jeeps
I like the picture with the Jeep on its side and the guys working on it. I see that the hand crank is in the bumper ready for cranking if and when they get her upright. I initially thought they may be replacing the starter, but it seems that it would be easier to replace that while the Jeep was on all fours. Very interesting.

My guess is that there was a rattle coming from underneath and they found it....

Re: Jeeps
What a great selection of photos! The 'Tool & Pioneer Equipment' board guys would like to see the last shot of the GI using the General Mechanics Tool Kit on the up-turned jeep.

Re: Jeeps
I like the pic with the jeep carrying the jerry cans on the front fenders. Never saw them attached sideways on the front like that. Where there's a will, there's a way I guess...
Thanks for posting!!

Re: Jeeps
Looking st the pic of the jeep on its side, I would definately say it's a transmission job as both prop shafts are disconnected. I really don't think the squaddies would worry too much about bending the side or grab handles.
