Part 3865...pic #1. That WWII crated jeep has no axe/shovel indents....what's with that?

M38's had tool indents on passenger side so maybe it is that? Not sure on the boxes in wheel wells on the M38's or not if they had them

That's definitely a MB or GPW, not M38...smooth cowl (no battery box), and the real wheel wells have the tool boxes.

, the steering gear is on the wrong side if you look.
Soooo photo is just reversed, driver side in the view is flat with no tool indents because it's actually the passenger side.

In that Parallel World, all the bolts would be left hand thread except the left side wheel studs, positive ground battery, carb on right side, etc.

Another dead giveaway is the registration number. It is visible and backwards
