I am away from my Jeep but I need to know the distance between the tires as measured from the center of the tires, 700x16, NDCC. Any assistance greatly appreciated, thank you.

Re: Wheelbase distance
Length is easy, that's published. What I need is width. I do appreciate your fast reply though. Scott

Re: Wheelbase distance
Hi Scott,
No kidding.
Next time you might phrase the title of your post and question better?
Big difference between "wheelbase" and track width.
Last time I checked --- wheelbase means the distance between the front and rear axles (in the automotive world anyway).
Anyway, the width of the M38 track (not wheelbase) from center of the right tire to center of the left tire isn't published in the M38 manuals that I can see.
However, the data plate on my dash gives the track width from the outside edge of the right tire to the outside edge of the left tire as 57 inches.
And just for you, I went and measured the width of my new 7.00x16 NDCC spare tire at 7 inches (outside edge to outside edge).
So, doing the math --- the track width dimension you want from the center of the right tire to the center of the left tire is 50 inches.
I'd assume you know the body is wider than that, but maybe not. Don't know what you're doing.
Good luck!

Re: Wheelbase distance
My guess would be something to do with trailer ramps.
