Fixing a Hood Hinge

Post by Buster1 » Fri Feb 11, 2022 2:47 pm

What are my options? Is there a way to get the hinge pin out and replace just the bad half of the hinge? Or do I have to remove the whole hinge assembly?

Thanks!

Here's something that might help, although it seems to be more about MB/GPW hoods, but some good repair ideas.

Mine was in a similar condition. I welded the two halves back together and added some metal. Then I drilled a new hole. I think these hinges usually crack in that location.
