I will respond. From what I see everything is very weathered and rusty. Maybe the rims. if correct, are worth $50 a piece??. The heater; most of the M38's are driven in the summer and I see no need for that. If you lift the hood and the 24 volt stuff is there that could be worth a little but I doubt it's 24 volts. Again, I assume its very rusty under the hood. NOS fenders can be purchased pretty cheap so really nothing there. The engine block has a bunch a scaling rust!! So, I would say based on all the rust $250 for the entire vehicle. If you have a good title AND had the original data tags to match that original fender well tag, maybe get a $1,000 just based on having originals. That's my thought. John

Sorry to say but I agree with John. Jeeps sourced from the East Coast are generally pretty far gone in terms of rust. Unless they have been stored inside their entire lives, they just don't survive the weather. A few comments: From what I can tell, the grill is from a CJ3A. It has the 3A frame mounts and the turn signal(s) and lacks the holes for the headlight guards. The rims are not correct, unfortunately, but not surprising. The 978-M Southwind Gas Fired Cowl Heater is used with the arctic hardtop and also has a special windshield. I believe they are very hard to get parts for and are rather dangerous. The fuel pressure needs to be spot on or they can overflow and catch fire. I use the hot water personnel heaters in my M38s. Yes, the gas tank is wrong (typical) and I'm sure there are other things we could go on-and-on about and pick, pick, pick. It's all fixable but at very substantial cost. The hood may be worth a $100. Can't comment much on the other parts as we can't see them (tranny, transfer case, the straightness of the frame, condition of axles, etc). I'm glad you scooped her up but it would be nice for someone to rescue her...wish I had better news. If you want to part her out, I might be able to help out there.

Yikes! I am sorry that I even thought about parting it let alone actually suggesting it. Sometimes when the wife puts her foot down, thete is little or no time to part it out and the old warhorse ends up going to the glue factory/scrapyard. THAT is the real travesty in my book.
I hope she can find a new home and gets back to ply the trails and roads for many years to come!

Regardless what anyone says, it is your property. This is America, land of the free, not East Germany! If you want to part it out feel free to do so, even if someone is yelling at you in the thread.

You didn't mention parting, but Maus did.
Mr OZ, I do not yell. I emphasize important points with my recommendations. Doesn't matter whose property it is, it is still my opinion and recommendation.
Don't like my recommendations; stop reading them.
