Get the green book. M38 Jeep Reference Guide. It will tell you all about it, and thousands of other details too. Can't own an M38 without it. No I do not sell them.

After a certain serial number that radio bracket was discontinued. I know my 11/51 M38 did come with it. As stated, that green book has the date the bracket was discontinued.

I believe that bracket is listed in my copy of the September 1955 M38 ORD9 manual on page 294 as Bracket, mounting, radio receptacle connector, WO-674658.

Neither the ORD9 nor my copy the M38 Reference Guide (2nd edition)(a.k.a."the green book") mention anything about that bracket being deleted or replaced. Pretty sure it belongs on all M38's.

Both the ORD9 and the Reference Guide say that the radio power connector that mounts to that bracket was superseded several times in production, and gives their part numbers and the M38 serial numbers when those changes happened.

My bad, it was the slave receptacle that was added as needed after serial # 47771, same page wrong bracket. John
