Speedometer Cable Lube

Post by Buster1 » Wed Aug 18, 2021 2:46 pm

What’s recommended for lubrication on a new speedo cable? I searched around and didn’t find anything here.

Thanks.

White Lithium Grease or graphite grease, either works good.

Thanks Chuck. I ended up going with a dry graphite powder. Got a bunch in on both ends and the new cable seems to turn effortlessly. Fingers crossed as it now hooked to the old and renovated original speedo.
