I would not pass on a sound nearly rust free M38 just for lack of data plates. Once we know lots more details we can get "close" to a delivery date. We don't know yet if sand the hood or bumpers might reveal more information.

Me neither; original data plates, while nice, are not necessary for an otherwise nice condition M38.
No one but you will know you put reproductions on it.
Now do you want a rust bucket with totally original data plates? I have one for sale.

I believe this is the same M38? Serial number and delivery date is provided by the seller.

I seem to recall it was selling for a couple grand less a few years ago.

That’s the one. I was emailing him and he said no data plates, but you are correct, he seems to have the serial #. Apparently.Ron D wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 4:07 pmI believe this is the same M38? Serial number and delivery date is provided by the seller.

Ron, do you know any more about the last time this Jeep was listed for sale? Same seller?

Hi Buster,
I recall seeing the same jeep advertised for sale on the same website for what seems like at least 2-3 years now, probably longer. The seller knows how long he's been trying to sell it and shouldn't mind saying?
Good luck!
