The M1 Carbine looks best on the windshield racks. Ebay is full of them for $169. And has many M1 Rifles for $230. Not sure why you are having problems finding one.
They also have the 1873 Winchester; that would look cool.
Whilst the M1 Rifle will fit, it looks awkward as it is much longer. The rack is made for the Carbine, Rifle, shotgun, the 1903 and A3, all SMGs, and the BAR. Which is really too big.
The M1 Rifle looks good in standing racks like on Dodges and the M606. Same rack/holder.
Get the Carbine.
I agree, get the Carbine.

Here are some choices for your Rifle Holder.
M1 Carbine
M1 Rifle
1903A3 Springfield Rifle
Kar98k Rifle in case you portray a German, or you captured one
#4MK1 Enfield Rifle for British guys
91-30 Mosin Nagant Rifle for Russian guys.
I prefer the Carbine, by far.
Not sure how the rack will mar your wood, at least not very badly.

.For Russians, you might want to remove the 18 inch spike bayonet first.

You have either an M1 Garand or an M1 Carbine

Not a Garand Carbine.

2 different rifles, different cartridges, different sizes, different uses, ........

My mistake. I did end up ordering the M1 Garand today. From a place in Georgia. I have to wait, till their March 9th shipment comes in. Everything they have until than is sold. ALSO they can not ship to New Jersey. I was shocked how many they sell a month. Anyway, thats one item off my list. Thank you for correcting me.

Its funny, the dealer has to ship it to my friend in Florida. And than my friend sends it to me. All this for a replica, non firing rifle, thats how crazy New Jersey is.

Ebay, had / has only ONE M1 Garand by Denix, and the seller is at 98 percent feedback. Thats not good enough for me. The other M1 Garands are that plastic composite stuff, NO GOOD, IMHO. as in my other post I found a dealer / supplier of Denix replicas in Georgia this afternoon. I ordered the M1 from them. But have to wait till the March shipment.

I see what you guys are saying on the carbine with the pictures. Maybe I will change. But for now at least its ordered. Btw. If you guys are interested. This dealer told me they are the SOLE IMPORTER of DENIX in the United States. I can give thier number in a pm to me.

Thanks for all the insight on things.

Just as a followup. When I paid for the Garand, and started giving the woman my address. She stopped at NJ and said we cant ship there. I asked why. She ssid 2 years ago, somethung happened and NJ changed its lew regarding replica weapons. CANT SHIP THERE ANYMORE.

So I got kicked in the balls twice in the past month by NJ. Once with the other jeep, to register it, and today with the Garand.

Draconian, good word.

There are 3 Denix M1 Rifles on eBay. One from Italy.
New Jersey is a state you need to get the H out of tomorrow. I never realized how far the new order control party has taken it over.
Definitely, fake rifles are a menace to society, as are restored antique vehicles. We can't have those in our state.

Just a followup. Nothing more. As of this morning I only saw the one Denix. The others were the plastic junk. I just looked at those new listings. NOTICE the price with shipping. Holy Smokes, what the heck. Enclosed is a copy of my invoice. Look what I paid.

AND YES SIR cant agree more with you on NJ. Replica guns, old worn out jeeps. How dare this state. Honest, cant wait till I run into Guv Murphy, I see him in town. He needs a talkin to.

I want my old jeep, and my gun that dont shoot. Raise cane in this state. 😂
