Seller is wrong. M-38 will run probably OK but not as designed. These mistakes occur way too often.

On a similar note; my original M37 came from the Army with 2243s in it. I didn't know any difference then so I ran it for years with them.

OEM was AutoLite AR-5S, 2243 is correct for M-37, 2243 is the latest AutoLite number for earlier AR-5S. Both are MS-35909-1 stamped.

Ok, I thought I read that the M37 took 2245. Not sure what I put in it a few years ago, but it runs fine.

But it ran good didn't it? I had to change #1 Spark Plug in my M-37 for whatever reason , I just started to screw it in and the phone rang. I went to move it without thinking a couple minutes later, when it started, it blew the plug out. I found on my lawn 10 years later.

Yes it ran fine; I just changed them because the electrodes were getting a bit rounded.
Clean off that one from your yard and it will probably work too.

Just a note to set the record straight. Midwest Military in conjunction with 3 other dealers stepped up an had 5000 of the 2245 plugs made by Autolite. If you buy plugs from MWM,Inc, (due to possible litigation this name has been blocked), AJP or VPW, they are not Chinese imports, they are the real deal.

IDK but you should make a new thread out of this; hitching your wagon to an old thread like this will not get you any answers because no one will know what the question is.

I'm sorry, I'll start a new thread. If any moderator want to delete my previous post please do. (I don't know if I can edit or do it myself).

The XMJ14 are for the M38. Are you selling them ? I may be interested if you have no use for them. Thank you, John
