M38 front steering linkage Moog numbers?

Post by clinto » Sat May 12, 2018 8:40 am

I am (needing to) rebuild all the steering linkage on a friend's M38- the whole system is the usual slop fest.

Do any of you have the Moog #s for the tie rods and linkage? Moog's site doesn't show anything for stuff this old and my local Napa doesn't have book old enough to have the #s.

I'm going to do the entire job: rebuild box and rebuild or replace all components so we end up with a new steering system.

So I need:
Steering bellcrank
Pitman arm
Drag link or drag link rebuild kit
Passenger side inner and outer tie rod ends
Drivers side inner and outer tie rod ends
Bellcrank stud repair kit (if necessary, I haven't disassembled the steering yet).
Steering box rebuild kit

I know the box rebuild will have to come from the usual vendors but if possible, I'd like to use Moog stuff for the rest wherever I can. My experience in the classic car industry has been very poor with the various reproduction steering linkage pieces from places like PST, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.
