top bows

Do the storage straps for the top bows get attached to anything or are they just loose straps ? The ones I bought have a closed loop at the buckle, like they are supposed to go on a footman loop.

My straps are attached to the footman loops that are located on top of the tub.

They attach to a footman loop on top of the wheelhouse panel directly below the rear top bow stowage bracket.

Thank You for the replies, I thought the straps attached to the bows like the GPW/MB. When my new bows arrived at the shop Thursday I didn't see any loops. Now with the vehicle in front of me and your guidance I'm all set.

Here's the similar set up on my M-38A1. It may be of some help.
Pardon the chipmunk pee spots at the wheel house corner. :)

All

What is the part number and length of the straps that are used with the stowage bracket. I recently purchased a 1952 M38 and those straps are missing. The top bow rattles/ bangs around in the stowed position when I drive it so would like to secure it. The bracket and footman loops are there just no straps.

Respectfully
1952 M38
