RT-524A Radio Hookup

Post by rdh778 » Fri Sep 16, 2022 9:07 am

How do I get power to my radio on my 1967 M151A1?
Which plug on the bottom of the mounting plate is for power?
What is the other plug for?
Thanks,
Bob

The 4720 power cable will plug into the socket closest to the corner of the bottom of the 1029 mount facing forward. The other end of the 4720 cable goes to the batteries.

For a little clarity, the one with 4 holes is Power, but the cable that goes into it ends up with the 4 wires connected into two pair of wires at the end and attached to the battery at + and - .

No I do not have an illustration for hotwiring it and would not recommend doing so, obtain the proper cable, then power it up.

Other multi pin connectors under there go to other radios and distribution boxes for speakers and microphones (Junction boxes)
Power will always be 4 Pins or Socket connection.
