Does any one have a suggestion on what kind of tires I should use for street use? Thank you.

As Rick said a LT 215 85 R16 is a good choice.
Been running that size on several A2s for about 20 years .
Particularly Firestones and Cooper Discoverers.
Both brands are great road tires especially compared to NDCC.

I bought Cooper Discoverers at 4wheelonline two months ago. These tires are quiet and have good grip on dry and wet roads. They are wearing very well also.

To be fair and unbiased, I don't troll him or his web site he has taken over. Nor do I comment on anything he says. He can't say the same about that. You need to send him the same reply to be fair. I come in peace.

You just did, twice. On a thread in which you had nothing constructive to say about the topic, and in fact, appear to be hijacking. Last warning.

I am looking at the thread, and he is not even on there. What have I said that would justify this. ??

Publicly calling out the Moderators is grounds for banning. In my old age, I'm much more tolerant than that, so I'll take a step back and let the other moderators moderate.

So my MUTT is in no shape for road trips - YET! I really just want to find a couple stock tires for it until its ready to leave this little mile square town. I am brand new owner of a 71 A2. I hoping to figure out this forum as well so if you see me repeating questions or going to wrong thread be gentle LOL.

I joined the U.S. By-God Cavalry in 87 and my first vehicle out of AIT was the A2 with ROPS (even though my Drill promised me everyone had HUMMERS). In 88-89 we transitioned to hummers but I always loved that lil puppy. Been a JK Jeeper for years and have since retired from the Army and finally came across an operational A2 that we want to make the "camp car" behind the RV. I probably paid too much for it but I'm Happy. It has a few small oil leaks and frame rust holes but otherwise in what I think is amazing condition. I see this forum has been around for a LONG time! I hope the younger fellas will keep it going.

I Work shift so soon as I can I will add pics and data so y'all can help me identify its service record if possible. I don't think it was cut, Its not in good enough shape to hide that, however I'm not really sure what to look for.

Anyways, Party on Wayne!
