I'm trying to determine the front bumper markings for a tribute jeep

The unit was Troop E 17th Cavalry 173 Airborne Brigade Vietnam

Thanks

would look something like: [Left side] 173 AB 17 CAV [right side] E- (vehicle # I.E. E-5 for 5th vehicle in E troop motor pool). Hope this is of help.
