Re: Training Films!
Anyone ever manage to find the TF 55-3707 (Training Film)
regarding special driving of the M151
After all this time?
It's mentioned in this PS mag in an M151C precaution page. https://ufdc.ufl.edu/UF00076787/00027/7x

Re: Training Films!
Thanks Surveyor, excellent Video (even if blurred it over the years), all M151 owners should review it, if only to watch a T-Bird tow a jeep at ludicrous speed across a 4 foot high ramp and expect it NOT to roll over....Have to wonder if they put a GPW through that same test what would have happened, or re do it with a HUMVEE even...
Yeah the vehicle can roll, but it was designed to go anywhere, not be a race car, or Dune buggy, rather get the troop and load there (and maybe return)
Thanks again for locating it.

Re: Training Films!
There were three driver training videos, the very first one was TF55-3412 (1965) which was mentioned in PS 137 and that was followed by TF55-3707 (1967) and then the last one, TF55-4247 (1971) which featured the M151A2-series.
The second and the last are available, although in poor quality, on U-tube but the 1965 version has eluded me and even the US Military Audio-Visual library in Ca didn't have a copy...... it was probably shredded when the second video was issued.
Between March 1963 and March 1973, there were 8 issues of the DA Circular 385-series which dealt with the safe operation of the M151-series along with a DA Pamphlet 350-32-1 Operator Training Course, Truck M151-series.
It seems that from late 1962, safety of the M151 vehicle was starting to become an issue for the army as the accident reports started to trickle in. All interesting stuff !
