Your truck turned out very nice.

You mentioned that you worked on the M1 tanks. I built, instructed, inspected, tested and dropped in the big green shipping can, the 1100 series transmission from the very beginning of use and continued for many years. Also the final drive track assembly.

Ok now I'm working on piecing together a electric turret system. So far I have the turret motor and BPMTU so I need the joy stick and a harness.

Or does anyone have the connectors I can probably make the harness. What else will I need? Ok photobucket is acting up.

Looking for theses two final parts Joystick and cables.

Joystick
Image

cables _ I may need to make the cables if anyone has the end connectors. Are there different cable assemblies, looking in the TM it list two types of kits, is that just the system or the cables the same?
Image

The motor is a direct bolt up underneath so no special bracket beyond what is here in this picture below?
Image
Image

Where exactly does the controller mount, I'm thinking the tow missile hole/location?
Image

My system is becoming the MUTT of configuration so what I've seen and read the battery supply is the battery box behind the turret shield. I'm not ready to do that. For the sake of testing I'm running from the vehicle batteries. Just want to confirm the motor is 24 volts or 12? Any input is always helpful or lessoned learned, thanks.

ok a few questions on the controller.

location 1: is that the backup power supply from main vehicle batteries? Is also the traverse limits with stops.
Location 4: motor supply power supply.
Image

Location 2: Is that the joystick supply?
Location 3: Is that the battery supply/power from the batteries on the turret?

ok, so now it makes sense, thanks.

I just finished mounting up the system and have tested its location works good. I made the motor bracket out of flat stock with spacers to get the right height. Works great and the gears are all align and disengages when I switch the handle and the manuel traverse override no binding. Mounted the controller in the tow bracket location. All is left are the power supply. Then testing and cleaning up all the rough in work. I'm working on getting a joystick so all that's left is the cables.

anyone have any ideas how they worked around making there own power supply and dimension on the battery bracket.

After you get the cables...do you need anymore cables or parts for the turret ?

Until I run the test, I don't know. I'm also thinking of changing over to the new turret hatch assembly (rear opening) but I don't know yet. Let me tinker with what I have. I have the heavy gun plate that is missing in this picture. What does that hatch assembly run for?

If you use that turret tray, you need to raise the try up With the thick adapter...while it may work, your brush lengths will need to be trimmed. How did you bolt up the motor? Your bracket on this green motor is for m1114 and in order to use the motor, you generally have to use use the m1151 motor bracket.
