What style of hmmwv? They range in weight from ~5,000 pounds to +14,000 pounds. So if you can lift at the rockers it is best. Floor pans are thin and aluminum stretches and will work harden.
1-2" is doable with minimal effort. At 3" plus, you need to modify fire wall to allow steering shaft not to rub. Then you need to lower fuel tank down to original level as to not rub on rear propeller. There are more items but IIRC these are the biggies. All new body mount bolts as well for any lift.

Re: Humvee Body Lift ?? with floor jacks??
I work on a bunch of civilian H1s and have see a ton of stuff out there. My experience is that pucks really change the dynamic of the vehicle and you will feel twist between the frame and body. Ted's second paragraph are very important details. I have installed both Rubber Duck 4x4 and ModMafia body lifts and both are fantastic. They sustain vehicle dynamics by replacing the body mount brackets and keeping the mount and bolts the same length. When you lengthen them, they flex more. Another thing that most people don't think of is the brake lines to the master cylinder. You should make sure that is not stressed when lifted. I recommend both Rubber Duck and ModMafia lifts. They are great quality and also help with hood alignment. Last puck lift I fixed had the hood cocked all screwy. Good luck.

Or just buy the metal body mount brackets for a 2006 H1 Alpha. They are 2" higher, and probably cheaper.
