Just wanted to share made a mount from scratch in the back of my m998 for a weapon holds a m249 or the 50 I just got from mac systems looks good I think . The real m7 mount is btw. 1000 and 2000 this one I made and only cost me around 450.

You need to fab up some kind of travel lock for the 249.
Glad your not planning on shooting anything live off that mount . The 50 would rip it right out of the floor.

Ditto on 50 ripping it out of the floor, you need some stabilizer bars if you go 4 wheeling with a .50 just sitting on that mount.
It looks fabulous, but if you want to go a 'next step' make it tougher with two legs to the front (or rear) of the fender area, then it could also act as a rollbar in a pinch. :wink:
Good job, now all the LEO :? and local Liberals are going to have fits :x when they see it driving down the street.
A guy stopped me once with his wife in a car and declared I couldn't have a .50 (I was driving my Brothers GPW).....I corrected him on our rights of possession and ATF regulations, and as a final twist pointed out it was made out of wood (excellent 1:1 model he built) before i popped the clutch and left him hanging out his window.

Nice start. Stiffener plates are there for a reason especially with an aluminum body.
