Mounted my GoPro to my turret and went for a drive through the city. This gives a different view while traversing my turret.

I'm looking for this rubber seal that covers the race ring. Im not sure this is it item 9. It seems to be like a dust cover seal. I dont recall having two seals. The TM says it requires two. Its the seal that lays in/on the race ring/bearing. Mine fell off and torn. The TM provides the part number of MT161A NSN: 5330-01-282-2213 not sure that is right.

That’s the “o-ring” that keeps dust out of the bearing channel…it’s actually a flat curved ring, available at the normal distributors.
They are kinda pricey.

I’m installing a 11 series ring mount onto my 10 series roof. After calling a few experts Todd and Greg who have completed these mods before so I called for advice.

Just picked up this 11 series ring mount
Image

After removing the old 10 series ring mount cleaned up all the sealant for a clean install.
Image

Ruffed in the gear ring which needs to be mounted on the top. Because the ring mount will need to be installed on top of the old 10 series roof. I’m keeping the 10 series roof support brackets.
Image

The gear ring will align with the orginal 12 holes
Image

I set up a clamp and wet-vac to catch all the welding chips. The 12 holes will need to be drilled through in order to mount the original 12 bolds. The new 11 series ring mount has 36 bolts but you will only be mounting 12 bolts.
Image

I didn’t have a 3-point sling so I rigged up this sling. You have to make sure it will lift evenly in order to align the bolts.
Image

Here I just dropped in the ring mount and ruff fitted all the bolts. Once I made sure all the bolts aligned, I re-lifted it and sealed it in. Now next I’m reinstalling my electric motor, manual gear drive and electric control box I had originally in my 10 series set up. This reinstall will be much faster install because the 11 series ring mount has all the original bolts holes.
Image

Just finished installing all the interior parts; electric motor, electric control box and manual gear drive. I will probably get some plastic plugs to fill in the blank holes that are no longer being used to give it a cleaner look. I tested all the components and everything is FMC!!!
