Tires for the Mighty Mite Part II

Post by Radar4xfour » Sat Jun 25, 2022 4:20 am

Hello all,

This is additional tire information from my previous January 2020 post (viewtopic.php?t=312875

If the 6:00-16 aren't doing it for you, here are 2 additional sizes to look for that work well on the Mighty Mite.
The Altas Paraller M/T pictured is 205R16 that measures at 29-1/2"
The BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2 is a 225/75R16 that measures at 30"
Both tires are radial construction.
Although not noted, the Atlas is 80 series tire. I have no idea why they don't list the aspect ratio on the sidewall.
When doing your tire search include 205R16 and 205/80R16 in your search parameters.
The Atlas is 205mm wide, the BF Goodrich is 225mm wide, a 20mm width difference, about 3/4"
Both tires are load range D, the original spec. 6.00-16's are load range B. There is no ride quality difference between the B & D load ranges.
Both tires can be run tubeless.

Nice write up Paul!

For those that don't already know, running tires like this can make a huge difference in ride from the OEM style 600/16's
