Hello, any suggestions for converting a new 24 volt fuel sending unit to 12 volt?
Adding a resistor?

The sending unit in itself is a resistor. Resistance isn't dependent on the voltage operating system. What does matter is what resistance the gauge is designed for. As long as the 12V gauge is matched to the proper resistance of the sending unit you will be fine.

A 12-volt gauge for a “0-90 ohm sender” should work. I believe that is the value.
The programmable fuel gauges work well, provided the tank is out and/or you have access to get a reading with the sender both empty & full.
