Mike,
Talk to Paul FitzGerald, he converted a few and one for me as well.
PM me if you don't have any luck contacting him and I'll give you his email address.

hi Guys,

I realise I am 11 years late for this thread.... but. I am also trying to get LED's into the jeep. as a wiring novice (and that's being generous!) i'm struggling a bit to see what others have done, and find the right bulbs in the sea of bulbs. There is Cheap Chinese crap everywhere I look, and i'd rather not buy until I know for sure! any help at all would be appreciated.

How are these LED bulbs holding up? On other old timer forums I saw a whole modification with printplate and all instead of only the bulb. They argued that only a bulb would burn up quickly

"bulb"....they may be correct about a "bulb" burning up, but Paulie's have a slew of LEDs in there for the STOP LIGHT function and the TAIL LIGHT function..

Price out all four lamps parts for your Jeep, add in your time and the research time, then the material costs for the LED chips, board, resisters etc...

Then buy em from Paul. So worth it! Can't wait for my harness to show up from Vintage Wiring so I can put it all together. I tested my lamps soon a they arrived with an old 5vdc phone or whatever charger just so I could see them work. Going to look good.

If you want a direct swap for the factory bulb then Paul’s route is the way to go. I have one of his bulbs and it’s excellent.

I later modified the rear reflectors into 6v LED tail/stop lights a while back, as an even brighter option. I did a build thread in this Mods forum.
