Repair the one you have. If you don't have the ability to do that, PM me.Post by RAS1 » Wed Jul 07, 2021 9:58 am
I'm looking for the 4 screw cap for my capstan on my weasel. Any thoughts?
Also there is a site mentioned further back called *Jeeps and Landies That screenshot is from their site. He apparently has 40 nos ones. Assuming they aren't for Landies...maybe a good source?

I often get asked which units had capsten winches mounted on their jeeps.
Can anyone tell me what to say ? I actually don't know.
Thanks

Parts from India
I bought parts from 7vintagejeepparts on the auction site from India and the shipping and quality of the capstan parts is top notch, no complaints in case someone is on the fence. I ordered the pulley, clutch with spacers, and shift lever, all well made and packed well in heavy foam.

One of my friends also just received a repro Braden style drive line with the U-joints from the Indian supplier of repro parts. I must say the joints were very nice looking and will do the job. I am not totally sure if the U-joints were exactly the same as the WWII ones but they were new and very similar.by Dawgman - Parts from India
