From a post I made wanting .M2HB Parts.
Just dropping in to sound a warning. A guy reached out to me from Colorado Springs, responding to my post here via text and offered me the parts I needed. Photos of a (right) sideplate, not a left, and the other parts I needed were sent to me.
I asked him to call me and he did, but just kept saying hello when I answered, then hung up. Phone was from area code in OK city.
The side plate he offered was a right side as per his photo, not a left. When questioned, he claimed it was a left plate. He wanted payment with zelle or paypal.
I offered to have a friend of mine in Colorado Springs, meet with him and pick up parts with cash, but he still wanted 50% via paypal or zelle.
He also sent a photo of his Colorado driver's license.
On investigation, all the photos he sent to me were copied from 1919A4.com, and apparently, they were posted there over 2 years ago up from 2 different sellers.
Buyer Beware. I am sure the Driver's license is bogus. His first name is Joshua.
Unreal.
Last update, I found all the parts I need from someone I actually know.
Jon

Hi all
Thought I would add a little more to this post.
I was looking for a carburetor rebuild kit on the 151 forum. I was contacted by a guy claiming to be in Colorado. He sent pics of an open kit on a table. Fortunately I know enough about the carb to recognize the correct kit, this was not the correct kit, and I think I was about to be scammed if I continued to deal with him and he wouldn’t give me a price, very strange.
Y’all be careful out there.
PS I have bought and sold on this sight for many years, I have never had a problem, times may be changing.

Re: SCAMMER Alert From a post I made looking for M2HB parts.
I had someone respond to my email from this forum about a javelin/stinger missile I am looking for.
They asked me to make an offer and I said I'd need to see pictures first. The pictures they sent me were rendered by a computer; ie they took a screenshot from a call of duty/Quake video game or something.
