Double posting to increase one's total post count

There is no need to post the same reply twice.

Sometimes it's an accident.
But continue to use the report mechanism so we can delete duplicate posts. it helps.

I thought people cared about post counts in the early '00s, is it still the case really?

Yeah, I wasn't aware that post count was a thing anymore. But some forums won't allow you to do certain things unless the post count gets to a certain number.

That's the best laugh I had in a long time. Thanks!

It can sometimes happen if your connection is slow, or you click 'Submit' too many times (once should be enough  )

Some of us do struggle with certain things on computers. YES, im one of them, slowly getting better, so i can see why double posting happens. Its OK for our kids, they were bought up with it, we werent. To be honest, i get my son to post pictures on here for me, as i still struggle with it. I also know people who wont go near a computer, as they are frightened of them, i was similar, till my daughter taught me, and that was only 5 years ago.

Why double post?
One can get to near 50K post with one liners of minimal technical help & multiple daily repeated resumes about 6 decades experience!

Once you have posted, you can see if you "inadvertently" double posted and can easily DELETE the second post. The new guys are still figuring how the site works....that isn't an excuse for old-time gee members.

Or, if you don't have a life, you could make 15-20 useless posts every day! It's also good to go back and bring up old posts you made and make the same comments over and over again.
