Excellent photos. Could you explain to many of us (in simple, plain English) how you did it? I have been regularly mocked and foiled by my computer. Thousands would be in your debt.
Thanks Much, Ed

Ed, in order to post photos you firsts need to sign up to a free image hosting website, such as Photobucket.I'm not an expert, but this is what I did, and it works OK... Find the picture you wish to use on your pc. Click upload on your hosting website, find that image and upload it to Photobucket. Once you see it there, you'll be able to select it and click on it again, and you will see some boxes to the right. One of these is IMG. Run your mouse along it to highlight it, then right click and copy...this copies the image.
Then, on G503 find where you want to reply to, and click on Post Reply, write your piece, then under it..right click again and paste, and you will see all the details of the picture you want to post.
If you click PREVIEW at the bottom you should then see your post and the pic in all it's glory, meaning it's worked. So then just click SUBMIT, and hey voila....job done...I hope this helps..Richard. As I said, I'm no expert, but I find this does work OK

Just another thought, don't make the pics too large. You might find that a 700 by 400 size pic works OK

Photobucket was the company that caused the issues with photos disappearing on all forum sites including this one & demanding something like $400 a year from those who posted pictures in future.

I changed to Postimage and it has worked out well for me. They are still free and no BS like Photobucket.

Thanks to all. In my case, I take John Wayne's words to heart: "Life is hard. It's especially hard if you're stupid".

I fear Postimage will not be free forever but I am sure they learned from Photobuckets debacle what NOT to do. Photobucket has been all over me to join back up and is offering full restoration of all of my pictures and everything for 99.00 a year now. no adds or anything. I have always said that is probably a fair price but I flat out do NOT trust Photobucket. I asked if they would give me that deal in a contract with theirs and my name on it and got no reply. No written contract, no deal. Not with that outfit. They are hurting if they are stooping to this, and the deals have been getting better. I just want to see them fold altogether.

Hi Rick Ed John, and others,
When I did my recent tests for posting pics, I used Photobucket, but the images I used were already on PB. I haven't tried uploading new pics for a while.
Thanks Rick for the Postimage info. I'll give them a go...
Richard....I hope you are successful Ed....

Can no longer upload photos to G503 photo album

Post by Fred Coldwell » Wed Oct 17, 2018 8:34 am

I am a long time registered user of The G503 Photo Album and have many photos stored there. I have used The G503 Photo Album as my photo link for over a decade on G503. I can no longer upload photos to it and need help. The Technical Support link for The G503 Photo Album returns a 404 error message, so I cannot get any help there, hence this post.

Today, when I go to its Photo Upload page, there no longer appears any box that states "Select Photos" for uploading. That box has simply disappeared and is not displayed on my computer. I have a PC and am using the latest updated version of Windows 10. How can I get that box to reappear?

What setting(s) on my computer or in Windows 10 do I have to adjust or alter? Is there some type of hidden setting that is making it impossible for the "Select Photos" box to appear on my computer? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Fred...I'm not that computer savvy, but I just go down to the ADD FILES box and click on it, sort through to find the photo from my computer files I wish to post, click on it. Then it appears in the FILE NAME box and I move the curser to the place where I want it to appear and click on PLACE INLINE.

That method limits you to three pics of about 256k I think, but they don't fall into the black hole when a photo hosting site goes kaput!
